Banjo Tunes
Quince Dillon's High D Tune is the song I played at the 2002 Topanga Banjo and Fiddle Contest where I came in second place in the Advanced Old Time Banjo competition. This is my own version of the tune played on a fretless pre-war Gibson TB1.
This is my version of Sally Goodin I came up with playing with Ricky Skagg's fiddle version (on CD, of course).
Here's my version of the Pateroller Song. It's pretty close to Hobart Smith's version.
This is an original tune I wrote for the Banjo Addiction CD. It refers to Jubal Early's charge at Cedar Creek during the Civil War.
Here's my version of Old Joe Clark played on a gourd banjo I built.
Here's my version of The Eighth of January, otherwise known as The Battle of New Orleans. This cut appeared on the second Banjo Addiction CD.
Guitar Songs
I wrote this song back in the early 80's and recorded it with my great friend Marc Turner for a college project about 25 years later. I'm on all the guitars and lead vocal. Marc is playing bass, harp, and singing harmony.
This is my latest creation. It's about criminals with short attention spans. I'm on all guitars and lead vocal. My good friend and producer extraordinaire, Marc Turner, is on bass, harmony vocals, and piano.
Here's a collaboration with Marc Turner. I did the banjo and lyrics I sing.
Here's another collaboration with Marc Turner! You can probably guess my contributions.
