Autumn "Woody Banjo
This banjo has a 12-inch cherry block pot that is 3/4 inch thick, a bubinga tone ring that is the same dimensions as a Mastertone flathead ring, a mahogany neck, and a fretted ebony fingerboard.
I used a notched rim for 28 brackets available from Stewart-MacDonald, a No-Knot tailpiece, and Schaller tuners. The head is a premounted Gold-Tone skin head.
Here the bubinga ring is almost visible. I glued it to the top of the cherry pot and turned it to the same dimensions as a Mastertone flathead tone ring. The neck attachment hardware is of my own fabrication out of brass. The bubinga dowel doesn't taper.
